La Tesla Model Y Juniper débarque en France !

The Tesla Model Y Juniper arrives in France!

Great news for electric car fans: Tesla will begin deliveries of the Model Y Juniper in France in March 2025. But be careful, only one version will be delivered and available to order: the Launch Series Long Range with all-wheel drive .

Exclusive Features of the Juniper Launch Series Version

  • Exclusive badge on the rear tailgate
  • Courtesy lighting with exclusive badge
  • Door sill with exclusive badge
  • Exclusive badge on the charging console
  • High-end textile interior carpets
  • Vegan suede finish (black) on the dashboard

As you can see, Tesla is bringing out the well-known recipe of the car manufacturers of yesteryear to encourage people to quickly reserve their Model Y: badges for a limited-time series!

Price: a significant increase

With a price of €60,990 , the Model Y Juniper is much more expensive than the previous version currently listed at €47,990. This increase could put some people off, especially when you consider that the old Model Y is still available from €42,990 in the long-range propulsion version . In addition, the latter is still eligible for the ecological bonus , a significant argument for optimizing your purchase of an electric vehicle.

Model Y Juniper Improvements

The new features of this model focus on several points:

  • Exterior aesthetics : a design that is close to the style of the Cybercab (robotaxi) with light bars at the front and rear.
  • Interior finish: ambient lighting, 15.4-inch touchscreen, touchscreen for rear passengers and ventilated seats in the front.
  • Better soundproofing : a big plus for a model of this range level.
  • Enhanced Audio System : For a premium sound experience.
  • Reworked suspension : for better comfort on the road.

We will obviously have to wait for the road tests of the automotive press to form an initial opinion of the real evolution in the driving phase compared to the previous generation.

Should you opt for the Model Y Juniper?

While its design and exclusive equipment are appealing, its price could put off some buyers. Previously located in the 'premium access' segment with a rather competitive price over the years, this new price positioning places it on a par with high-end electric competitors.

Here are some of them:

BMW iX3

    • Autonomy: ~461 km (WLTP)
    • Price: From €59,900
    • Strong points: Premium comfort, neat interior finish, excellent road holding.

Mercedes-Benz EQB

    • Autonomy: ~423 km (WLTP)
    • Price: From €57,150
    • Highlights: Versatility (up to 7 seats), luxurious interior, advanced technological equipment.

Audi Q4 e-tron

    • Autonomy: ~520 km (WLTP, depending on version)
    • Price: From €49,700
    • Highlights: Elegant design, pleasant driving, intuitive digital interface.

Volvo XC40 Recharge

    • Range: ~500 km (WLTP) (Single Motor Extended Range model)
    • Price: From €53,490
    • Highlights: Advanced security, premium minimalist interior, efficient fast charging.

For those looking for a more affordable alternative, the older version of the Model Y remains an excellent choice, with the added green bonus. We recommend waiting for the other, more affordable versions of the Model Y Juniper to be available in the catalog, as the Launch Series' equipment is not unanimously appreciated.
