Tesla Summer Update: New Driving Features
The latest “Summer Release” update for the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X brings features that drivers have been waiting for. These include the famous “Go on Green” function that promises to make daily driving easier, and “Vision Speed Limits“ .
Features now standard!
Tesla vehicles regularly receive software updates, bringing fixes and new features to improve driving. The update, numbered 2024.26.3.1, introduces two major new features.
Before this update, to take advantage of the “Go on Green” feature, Teslas had to be equipped with the “Fully Self-Driving Capability” option, which costs €7,500. Now, this feature is integrated into the basic Autopilot mode, allowing vehicles to automatically restart at a green light if another car is in front of them.
Vision Speed Limits: Cameras to read signs
The second new feature, “Vision Speed Limits”, uses the vehicle’s cameras to detect speed limit signs, improving the accuracy of the speed data displayed on the car’s screen. This feature aims to reduce errors due to incorrect GPS readings.
Other improvements
In addition to these major features, the Summer Release update includes other minor improvements, such as new parental controls, scheduled charging options, and new entertainment features like Amazon Music and YouTube Music.
